Light showers received in some parts of Banissa and Kiliweheri sub counties while the rest of the sub counties were dry during the reporting month.

Vegetation condition; the current three-month Vegetation Condition index is severe deficit. All sub counties are showing severe vegetation deficit.

Pasture condition is poor across the County while browse condition is fair in Mandera North, Banissa and Kiliwaheri sub counties while poor across all the other sub counties.

Sixty-two earth pans and seventy-two underground water tanks impounded water during the short rain majorly in Banissa, Kiliwaheri and Mandera North sub coun-ties which has slightly improved the water situation although the water can only last at the end of December and the situation is expected to return similar as it was in September.

Water trucking is still conducted by County government and partners with 85 sites across the County.
