Biophysical Indicators

• No rains received in any part of the county during the Month under review.

• Vegetation condition: the current three-month Vegetation Condition index for the County showed vegetation greenness above normal band.

• Pasture and browse conditions are good to fair in all parts of the County and can last for five months.

• Water availability is normal across the County with all the earth pans having water.

Socio Economic Indicators (Impact Indicators)

Production indicators:

• Currently, the body condition of livestock species is good to fair while the distance to water source lies within the normal range. • Milk production is above the normal range.

Access indicators:

• Terms of trade are favourable but slightly lower than the preceding month.

• Milk consumption is above normal in the entire livelihood zone.

Utilization Indicators:

• The percentage of under five children at risk of malnutrition (MUAC) was below the long-term average.
