Heavy rainfall continues to impact 19 of the 47 counties of Kenya, causing floods and the overflow of some rivers, particularly the Tana River, that resulted in casualties and damage.

According to media, at least 46 people have died, and 58,000 have been displaced. Moreover, some communities have been isolated because they experienced huge damage to roads and bridges. Several houses, schools and public buildings have been affected. Crops and large numbers of livestock have been lost.

For the next five days, isolated storms are likely to occur in some parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Southeastern lowlands, the coast and northeastern Kenya.
