A total of 671,428 Syrians have registered as refugees in Jordan since 2011, 125,642 (18.7%) of which are registered in camps.1 In Azraq camp, school aged children make up nearly a third of the population, and enrolment rates for formal schools are near 75%.2 As the lead agency for the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector in Jordan, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is also responsible for WASH infrastructure and activities in Azraq camp. To evaluate key WASH infrastructure and assess student knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP), REACH conducted an assessment in partnership with UNICEF.
