Following the passage of tropical storm PULASAN over central-western Japan on 21-22 September, floods, river overflows and landslides have been recorded mostly across the Ishikawa prefecture, Honshu island, central Japan, resulting in casualties and damage.
According to media, at least 11 people have died, of whom nine in Wajima and two others in Suzu City.
For the next 48 hours, moderate to locally heavy rainfall is expected across central and eastern Honshu island.
