In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, a flight loaded with nuclear related equipment (radiation survey meters and dosimeters) arrived at Narita International Airport on the afternoon of April 6, as assistance from the Government of Canada.
The Government of Canada announced its offer of assistance to Japan immediately after the disaster and provided 25,000 thermal blankets which have been delivered to the affected people. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the assistance to date by the Government of Canada.
