Jamaica: Hurricane Emily - News release #5

The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) wishes to advise that as the Hurricane Warning remains in effect, the Meteorological Service is reporting that the island should start experiencing rain and wind going into tonight, with conditions deteriorating into morning. The entire island is expected to experience rainfall, so persons living in flood-prone and low lying communities MUST take the necessary precautions.
All Parish Emergency Operations Centres have been activated and are ready to respond to any eventuality that may arise.
