ASSISTANCE TO ISOLATED COMMUNITIES
The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) is continuing the delivery of relief supplies to affected and isolated communities. Operations to airlift food to communities in St. Andrew, St. Thomas, Portland begun yesterday and is continuing. This is being done through a collaborative effort between the Jamaica Defence Force, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS), Jamaica Red Cross, Salvation Army and the ODPEM.

The following communities are on schedule to receive assistance commencing from 5:00 a.m. today.

St. Andrew

St. Thomas
  • Cedar Valley
  • Trinityville
  • Hagley Gap
  • Penlyne Castle
