Overview
In the first two months of 2025, 6,808 refugees and migrants arrived in Italy by sea, compared to 4,559 in the same period last year, an increase of 49 per cent. Most of the 3,329 people who arrived in February disembarked in Sicily (88%, 2,911), followed by Calabria (130), Toscana (112), Sardinia (93), Lazio (43) and Campania (41).
