HIGHLIGHTS

  • To date, over 48,000 people have crossed the border of which approximately 50 per cent are children. Fifty-two per cent are above the age of 18 and 3 per cent are above the age of 60. The gender breakdown is 47 per cent female / 53 per cent male.

  • On 26-27 August the CP team identified 28 separated children, 11 unaccompanied children and 17 Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism (MRM) cases.

  • As a result of the UNICEF mission on 26 August, six showers were procured and will be delivered on site on 28 August. Additional showers have been ordered.

  • In Arbat camp, four tankers (15,000L per tanker) delivered 75,000L of non-potable water to the camp. Twenty-five water tanks with taps (500L capacity) will be delivered on 28 August, substantially increasing the accessibility of fresh water in the camp.
