UN Special Representative condemns suicide attack in Sadr City

Baghdad, 29 February 2016 – The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq (SRSG), Ján Kubiš, strongly condemned the vicious twin suicide attacks in Sadr City on Sunday.

“This is a particularly vicious and cowardly terrorist attack on peaceful civilians who were going about their daily business in a market. It is clearly aimed at inflaming sectarian strife,” SRSG Kubiš said.
