Turkey offers medical treatment for injured Iraqis

ANKARA, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Turkey said on Wednesday that 15 injured Iraqi people would be brought to Turkey for medical treatment.

A statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that the 15 Iraqis injured in a Sunday bombing would be brought in by an ambulance plane of the Turkish Air Forces later Wednesday.

"We condemn such a heinous attack and call on all Iraqi people to act with the feelings of unity and solidarity in this critical period before the elections," the statement said.

Five people were killed and dozens of others were injured on Sunday morning when a roadside bomb went off in the town of Tuz Khormato, 180 kilometers northeast of Baghdad.
