Since 2003, iMMAP has worked to establish a common operating picture (COP) for Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) in Iraq to build the capacity of the Iraqi government and its partners to manage landmine and explosive remnants of war (ERW) mitigation activities. With support from the United States Department of State’s Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement (PM/WRA), we help partners understand who is doing what and where to identify areas in greatest need. With a presence in Erbil, Basrah and Baghdad, iMMAP improves the lives, livelihoods and reintegration efforts of thousands of Iraqis impacted by landmines and ERW.
