Project Description: The project will make it possible to deploy experts to government ministries, civil-society organizations, and multilateral agencies working with government, as required.

Project Impact: The project will help to establish and strengthen more transparent and accountable local institutions.

Project Outcomes: Such a mechanism allows Canada to give Iraqi institutions access to the expertise that forms the basis for the strength of our own institutions. This mechanism will make a powerful contribution to sustainable development.

Project Outputs: Rapid deployment of qualified and experienced Canadian resources, where Canadian expertise can make a difference. Capacity building of Iraqi institutions to fulfil their mandates, benefiting from the know-how contributed by Canadian experts. Greater knowledge of the strengths of Canadian institutions among Iraqis in influential positions. Better Canadian understanding of the dynamics, strengths, and weaknesses of Iraqi institutions
