In cooperation with Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), QC implemented a relief project for the displaced people of Mosul to reduce their financial burden and provide them with their basic needs.
QC aims to stand by the Iraqis, alleviate their suffering and provide them with the necessary supplies under the difficult conditions they are going through.
Mr. Mohammed Alkaabi, QC's Director of Relief Department, said, “We provided this aid due to the difficult conditions in Mosul and the displacement of a large number of its families to the neighboring governorates. They live in random camps that are not well equipped and suffer from a severe shortage of basic needs of water, food, medicine and blankets, which required our rapid and immediate assistance”.
Alkaabi added that the aid included food and non-food items at a cost of QR 1 million, benefiting more than 21.000 people. The aid was distributed in the camps of Nergzliya, Qaimawa, Khazar, Hassan Sham, Laylan, Arbat and Erbil.
Alkaabi presented his sincere thanks and appreciation to the people of Qatar for their support to QC campaigns to provide relief to their Iraqi brothers, calling upon them to continue their help and support.
