PHO's new project in Iraq is to provide sustainable employment to inhabitants of Al-Hilla, the capitol of Babil province. Existing bazaars have no important infrastructure. PHO will build two objects providing easy access to technical water, sewage system and electricity. Both objects will have roofs and will be filled with regular shops and stalls.
When built, the new bazaars will be passed to the Local City Hall that will take care of them. Shops and stalls will be rented mainly to unemployed people having to support their families. Rent fees will be minimal, enough to maintenance bazaars (payment for electricity, water, garbage disposal, cleaning). The bazaars will be used also by local manufacturers.
