MSF has a 6-person medical team in Baghdad consisting of a surgeon, an anesthesiologist, an emergency medical doctor, a Head of Mission, and logistical support. They will remain in the city to determine the medical needs of the people and see how it would be possible to provide independent emergency medical assistance as the situation evolves. The international volunteers come from Italy, France, Austria, Norway, Sudan, and Algeria.
