Life installs water filtration units in 2 Iraqi schools

Life for Relief and Development’s Iraq's office installed water filtration/water cooler units with water holding tanks in 2 schools in Diyala, Iraq as part of an ongoing effort by Veteran’s for Peace, USA to provide clean, purified drinking water to public institutions such as schools, clinics and public buildings throughout Iraq.

The project was completed in May 2014 and new replacement filters were given to the schools to last for one year. The beneficiaries of the project were students, teachers and support staff in Al-Zaituna Girls School and Chiya School for Boys (morning) and Girls (afternoon).

Khanaqin's Directorate of Education and the schools' management, teachers and students thanked all those involved and expressed their gratitude to Life for Relief and Development and Veteran’s for Peace on completion of this project and stressed the importance and need for similar such projects in order to preserve the health and wellness of the students and staff.
