HIGHLIGHTS

  • UNHCR and its partners have responded to the forced displacement of civilians from Tikrit and the surrounding areas to Samarra in Salah al Din Governorate, reaching 800 families with core relief items.

  • International Women’s Day was celebrated with UNHCR supporting events across Iraq.

  • UNHCR and its partners have reached 1.1 million individuals throughout Iraq, to determine needs, vulnerabilities, registration status, demographic information, and accommodation circumstances. The results of such continuous protection monitoring informed the inter-agency prioritized multisector response for IDPs as well as gap identification.
