Iraqi Security Forces have entered the centre of Jazerat Al Khalidiya and have extended the offensive west into Jazerat Al Ramadi, with further displacement expected.
-
IDPs have moved into the 300 tents UNHCR set up in Kilo 18, thereby ensuring the new arrivals to the camp from Jazerat Al Khalidiya have access to adequate shelter.
-
On 3 July, Iraqi Security Forces transported 205 IDPs who had arrived to their lines from Jazerat Al Khalidiya to Kilo 18. A further 13 IDPs arrived to Kilo 18 on their own. After security clearance, most of the families intend to leave to other camps with more space and services in Amiriyat al Falluja, Habbaniya Tourist City, or Al Khalidiya.
MOSUL CORRIDOR

Between 2 and 3 July, around 10,000 IDPs (1,670 families) from Shirqat and northern Baiji arrived in Al Hajaj; most have moved on to Tikrit and other parts of Salah al-Din Governorate through sponsorship.
-
Shelter partners met with local authorities in Al Hajaj to review the proposed location for a new camp the UNHCR is setting up to meet the emergency shelter needs of IDPs fleeing Shirqat and surrounding areas. The authorities have recommended a location 15 km from the centre of Tikrit where infrastructure is already available. UNHCR will commence initially with setting up a site to accommodate 250 families during the security screening and sponsorship process.

Between 1 and 3 July, nearly 2,000 IDPs arrived at the reception centre near Debaga IDP camp, most from Haji Ali, and approximately 2,000 more IDPs arrived on the evening of 3 July. As the reception centre is now full, the camp management has begun diverting new arrivals directly to the Stadium site.
