IRAQ: DOUBLE BOMBING ATTACK IN THE NORTH, MANY CIVILIANS KILLED

At least 25 people were killed and 100 wounded after two bombs exploded in Tal Afar, a Turkoman city inhabited by alarge Shiite population in the province of Nineveh, about 60 km. from Mosul, Iraqi security said that a man wearing an explosives belt was driving a truck and he set off an explosion near the stadium where many people were watching a football match. Later, as crowds gathered to help the wounded, another suicide bomber exploded himself near the stadium, which is said to lack any form of protection. [AB]
