Oct 14 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1830 GMT on Thursday.

* BAGHDAD - A bomb attached to a car belonging to a university lecturer exploded in the Adhamiya district of northern Baghdad, killing him and wounding two passersby, an interior ministry source said.

* BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb went off in Baghdad's Adhamiya district, wounding three civilians, an interior ministry source said.

* BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb exploded near a security checkpoint manned by members of the government-backed Sahwa militia in Baghdad's southwestern Bayaa district, wounding five people including three militia members, an interior ministry source said.

* BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb targeting a police patrol on the southern outskirts of Baghdad wounded ten people, eight of them police officers, an interior ministry source said.

MUQDADIYA - A roadside bomb went off near a bus carrying Iranian pilgrims, wounding seven of them and three Iraqi security guards on Wednesday in the main street of the town of Muqdadiya, about 80 km (50 miles) northeast of Baghdad, a source in the security operations centre of Diyala province said.

BALAD RUZ - A mortar round landed on a base of the government-backed Sunni Sahwa militia, wounding two members, in the town of Balad Ruz, 90 km (55 miles) northeast of Baghdad, a source in security operations centre of Diyala province said.

BAGHDAD - Two people were wounded when a sticky bomb attached to their car exploded in Baghdad's central Karrada district, an interior ministry source said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb went off near the motorcade of Abdul-Kareem Mahoud, a former member of the Iraq governing council formed after the 2003 invasion, killing four of his guards and wounding three in southern Baghdad, an interior ministry source said.

BAGHDAD - A sticky bomb attached to a policeman's car exploded, killing him, in Baghdad's central al-Mesbah district, an interior ministry source said.

MOSUL - Gunmen carrying pistols opened fire and killed a man in eastern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Two policemen were wounded when attackers threw a bomb at a police patrol in western Mosul, police said.

BAGHDAD - Gunmen in a car opened fire and killed a cleric on Wednesday night in Baghdad's northeastern Sadr City district, an interior ministry source said.

KIRKUK - Gunmen in a car opened fire and wounded two people in the street on Wednesday night in northern Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, a police source said.
