Nov 7 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1900 GMT on Sunday.

* TAL AFAR - A suicide bomber was killed by the Iraqi army before he was able to reach his target, a school, in a village west of Tal Afar, 420 km (260 miles) northwest of Baghdad, the Iraqi army area commander, Brigadier General Abdul-Rahman Hamdhel, said.
* MOSUL - A roadside bomb targeting a police patrol on the road between Mosul and Tal Afar killed one policeman and wounded five others, including three policemen, police said.
* BAGHDAD - Armed men killed the imam of a Sunni mosque when he was leaving the place of worship in the southern Baghdad district of Doura, an interior ministry source said.
* BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb went off near a police patrol in Baghdad's southern district of Ilaam, wounding three people, including two policemen, an interior ministry source said.
BAGHDAD - One Katyusha rocket landed in the vicinity of Baghdad's fortified Green Zone district of government offices and embassies, an interior ministry source said, adding it was unclear whether there were any casualties.
SAMARRA - A roadside bomb went off near a checkpoint manned by a government-backed Sahwa militia, killing two and wounding two in central Samarra, 100 km (60 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
