* KIRKUK - Armed men in a speeding car opened fire on and killed a civilian in the centre of the city, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
* KIRKUK - A roadside bomb in the southern part of the city wounded two civilians, police said.
BAGHDAD - Armed men using a silencer killed an employee of the Ministry of Higher Education in the northern part of the city, an Interior Ministry source said.
BAGHDAD - Armed men using a silencer killed a civil servant working for the Ministry of Municipalities, in his car, in the centre of the city, an Interior Ministry source said.
MOSUL - Armed men attacked an Iraqi army checkpoint with hand grenades in the western part of the city, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, wounding one soldier. The soldiers responded killing two of the attackers, police said.
MOSUL - Police detained a wanted man after they wounded him in the western part of the city, police said.
BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb wounded a civilian in eastern Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said.
BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb targeting an Iraqi army patrol wounded a soldier in the Ghazaliya district of western Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said.
TUZ KHURMATO - Two roadside bombs exploded simultaneously and killed an Iraqi soldier at a temporary base for the Iraqi army in Tuz Khurmato, 170 km (105 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
RAMADI - A roadside bomb wounded a civilian late on Monday in central Ramadi, 100 km (60 miles) west of Baghdad, police said.
MOSUL - Police found the body of a man with bullet wounds in the head and chest late on Monday in western Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
SAMARRA - A roadside bomb targeting an Iraqi police patrol wounded a policeman late on Monday in Samarra, 100 km (62 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
BAGHDAD - Two government employees were killed and two wounded in their car in a drive-by shooting in central Baghdad late on Monday, an Interior Ministry source said.
