FACTBOX-Security developments in Iraq, Jan 8
Jan 8 (Reuters) - Following are security
developments in Iraq at 1730 GMT on Friday.
MOSUL - Four men were killed after attacking U.S. forces 30 km (18 miles) south of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.
The men were digging a hole for an explosive device along a road and opened fire when the soldiers approached, the U.S. military said in a statement.
SHIRQAT - A bomb attached to a car exploded in a parked vehicle in Shirqat, 300 km (190 miles) north of Baghdad, wounding seven civilians, according to police.
