*HILLA - Five Iraqi civilians were killed, and seven Iraqis and three U.S. soldiers were injured, in a traffic accident involving a military vehicle and a civilian vehicle in Babil province north of Hilla on Wednesday, the U.S. military said. BAGHDAD - A U.S. soldier died from combat-related injuries sustained while on patrol in Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement.

MOSUL - A roadside bomb wounded two policemen on patrol in western Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - A bomb killed two children and wounded another when it exploded inside a flat in southern Mosul, police said. The police arrested the children's father for questioning.
