Dec 31 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1500 GMT on Saturday.

KHAN BANI SAAD - Gunmen using silenced weapons killed five members of the government-backed Sunni Sahwa militia at a security checkpoint in the town of Khan Bani Saad, 30 km (20 miles) northeast of Baghdad, security officials said.

KIRKUK - A sticky bomb attached to the car of a civilian critically injured him in the Nasr neighbourhood of southeastern Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, according to the Kirkuk police operations centre. (Compiled by Baghdad bureau)
