* SAMARRA - A suicide car bomber killed four members of a U.S.-backed neighbourhood patrol and wounded nine other people in Samarra, 100 km (62 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
BAQUBA - A female suicide bomber killed nine people and wounded 12 others when she blew herself up at a market in Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
MUSSAYAB - A roadside bomb killed three people and wounded two others when it exploded near their vehicle in Mussayab, 60 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.
MOSUL - Six people were wounded when several mortar rounds hit the building of the local government headquarters for Nineveh province, in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
SULAIMAN PEK - A bomb wounded three people including the local government supervisor of the town of Sulaiman Pek when it blew up outside his house, police said. Sulaiman Pek is 160 km (100 miles) north of Baghdad. (Compiled by Aws Qusay; Editing by Tim Cocks)
