May 29 (Reuters) - Eight U.S. soldiers were killed in separate attacks across Iraq, the military said on Tuesday, taking the death toll for May to 112, the deadliest month since December 2006, when the same number died.
Six of the soldiers died when a series of explosions hit their vehicles on Monday in volatile Diyala province north of Baghdad.
