Teheran (dpa) - A Japanese team was expected to arrive in Teheran Monday to assist Iran handle Iraqi refugees as part of mutual emergency, the Japanese embassy said.
A team of three experts from the Japanese Red Cross will work closely with Iran's Red Crescent Society (IRCS) as an advance team.
Since the outbreak of war in Iraq, refugees have not been pouring into Iran in the huge numbers predicted before the war began on Thursday. dpa rds jm
