Three provinces of Iran experienced heavy floods in recent days. Dr. Pir Hossein Koulivand, Head of the Relief and Rescue Organisation of the Iranian Red Crescent pointed that the provinces of East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan and Kerman have had some damages due to the most torrential rains.
Reportedly, the cities of Tabriz, Miyaneh, Khajeh and Soghan were damaged during the natural disaster. In his speech, Dr. Koulivand added that 104 relief workers including 24 relief teams carried out their humanitarian operations during the flood and 45 people were settled in emergency sheltering and more than 400 flood affected people received Red Crescent services in 3 Provinces, so far.
According to Relief and Rescue reports from the scene, the flood affected areas are still in need of more relief services. Few hours after 91 homes began to go under water, Red Crescent relief forces worked with dredging sets to pump water and mud out of the flooded areas.
