  • Since 27 February, persistent heavy rains have led to the overflow of four dams in Iran's Sistan and Baluchistan province, causing floods that have affected 110,000 people across 14 cities and 450 villages in the southern regions, mainly Dashtiari, Qasrqand, Nikshahr, and Chabahar cities.
  • The floods caused damage to infrastructure and agricultural lands including 500 houses, 221 greenhouse units, 300 livestock sheds, 18,000 ha agricultural lands, 45 small and large livestock heads, 271 tubewells, 104 km of roads, water transmission network, and dams. Two-thirds of the affected areas are currently inaccessible due to the floods, with no electricity.
