An earthquake of 4.9 M at a depth of 10 km occurred in Razavi Khorasan province, north-eastern Iran, on 18 June at 9:54 UTC (13:24 local time). The epicentre was located approximately 2 km north-northwestern of Kashmar city in the Central District of Kashmar county, Razavi Khorasan.
USGS PAGER reported that severe shaking was felt in the affected area.
According to media, as of 18 June, four people died, 120 have been injured, including 35 hospitalized people, and several buildings in Kashmar.
