Iran - Earthquake (GDACS, USGS, media) (ECHO Daily Flash of 19 June 2024)

  • An earthquake of 4.9 M at a depth of 10 km occurred in Razavi Khorasan province, north-eastern Iran, on 18 June at 9:54 UTC (13:24 local time). The epicentre was located approximately 2 km north-northwestern of Kashmar city in the Central District of Kashmar county, Razavi Khorasan.
  • USGS PAGER reported that severe shaking was felt in the affected area.
  • According to media, as of 18 June, four people died, 120 have been injured, including 35 hospitalized people, and several buildings in Kashmar.
