Earthquake jolts Lorestan, western Iran
Khorramabad, Nov 14, IRNA - An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale rocked Kuhdasht city, Lorestan Province, western Iran, on Tuesday.
According to the seismological center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 7:58 hours local time (4:28 GMT Tuesday) in an area located at 47.55 degrees longitude and 33.84 degrees latitude and in the depth of 10 kilometers.
There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.
A 7.3-magnitude earthquake also shook the western province of Kermanshah and the regions bordering Iraq on Sunday night.
Based on the latest statistics, at least 430 people have been killed and over 7,000 injured in western Iran.
