SitRep 04 - Lombok Earthquake, Indonesia

After a 6.4 earthquake on July 29 and 7.0 Richter on Aug 5th, another dedly 6.2 earthquake hammered Lombok.

Buildings that survived previous shakes we're seen collapsed in Lombok, affecting more people, and larger areas.

HOPE worldwide team has been on the ground since July 30th, 2018, providing emergency shelters, blankets, sarong, hygiene kits.

259 reported dead, while 1,033 injured and 270,000 people displaced from their homes.

We are also supporting life-saving health services and psychosocial well-being of children and families.

Play therapy sessions conducted to help trauma-healing among affected children. Team on the ground is also assisting the main hospital in Mataram that has been overwhelmed by patients inflow. Adding to that, they are ordered to care the patients outside the building; preventing from building collapse.

Please be praying for Lombok as further aftershocks is highly possible, but also the trauma they have caused can impact the people.
