Situation Update

  • The death toll from the recent earthquake and tsunami in Central Sulawesi now stands at 2,256, according to the latest press briefing from the National Disaster Management Agency, BNPB. A further 223,751 people have been displaced and 4,612 people have been severely injured, while 1,309 are still missing.

  • The AHA Centre portal for sending offers of in-kind assistance closed as of 22 October. It is unclear at this time if the Government of Indonesia will still accept in-kind donations.
