Jakarta, Indonesia-Relief - On the third day after last Monday tsunami, according to Indonesian Ministry of Social Affair, total death victims has reached 396 people and another 700 peoples injured. The ministry also said that 187 people still missing.
''We expected more death toll to come
as there are still 187 people in missing status,'' said the ministry on
a statement on Wednesday morning. The ministry hopes all the missing people
will be found as the search and rescue effort has been intensified.
Meanwhile the Ministry of Health on Tuesday afternoon has sent another 350 body bags to the disaster area of Pangandaran, Cilacap, Kebumen, and Tasik Malaya. The first three sub district received 100 body bags, while Tasikmalaya only received 50 body bags. On the first day of tsunami, the ministry has sent 100 body bags and 3 tons of emergency foods.
To support local health centre (Puskesmas), the health ministry has sent 4 packages of medicine to Puskesmas Pangandan and 1 package to Puskesmas Tasikmalaya. Each package consist of antibiotics, antipyretics, analgesics, and infusion liquid. *** che
