Indonesia: Volcanic Eruption - 04-2024 - Volcanic Eruption MT. Ruang #1 (2024-04-25)

Description

1. On Tuesday (16/04), Indonesian volcanic center (PVMBG) reported Mt. Ruang erupt and actively spewing volcanic ash.
2. Looking at the activity, PVMBG changed Mt. Ruang Status from level 2 to level 3 on tuesday (16/04)
3. On the following day (17/04) due to intens eruption PVMBG increased Mt. Ruang Status to level 4 the highest level of volcanic activity.
4. Due to volcanic activitys, 272 household or 838 people evacuated from Ruang Island to Tagulandang Subdistrict (Island).
5. PVMBG adviced to stay clear within 6 km from Mt. Ruang crater.
6. As per reporting, eruptions are continuing.
