On 9 June, strong winds have been affecting Deli Serdang regency and Medan city in North Sumatra province, in western Indonesia.
As of 11 June, the National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure (BNPB) reports that six families have been evacuated and a total of 58 people have been affected in Deli Serdang regency. According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), 108 people and 24 houses have been affected in Medan city area.
Over the next 48 hours, light wind is expected over North Sumatra, accompanied by isolated rainfall.
