- Heavy rainfall and strong winds affected the Java island (mainly the western part of the island) over 7-8 March, causing floods, strong wind-related incidents and triggering landslides that have resulted in casualties and damage.
- The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, as of 9 March, seven fatalities, of whom four are in the Bekasi regency (West Java province) and three more across the Jember and Pasuruan regencies (East Java province).
- ADINet also reports four still missing persons across the Bekasi regency and two injured persons across the Jember and Pasuruan regencies. In addition, the same source reports 617 displaced people (495 in the Banten province and 122 in the Jakarta province, with a part in two evacuation centres). Furthermore, a total of over 53 500 affected people were reported across the Banten, Jakarta, West Java and East Java provinces.
- Over the next 48 hours, moderate rainfall is still forecast over the whole Java island.
