Download Infographic Mt Sinabung erupted today spewing ash up to 2000 m into the sky and pyroclastic lava flow to non-residential areas South of the crater. There are no reports of new displacement. Volcanic dust from the previous eruption on 08 October reached Medan, the capital of North Sumatra province, disrupting flights on 09 October 2014.
