The death toll continues to rise after the massive landslide triggered by heavy rainfall on 24 January in Pasirlangu Village, Cisarua sub‑district, West Bandung Regency, West Java province.
According to the National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure (BNPB), after four days of search operations, 48 people have been confirmed dead, and more than 30 people are still missing.
National and local authorities are still conducting rescue and emergency operations.
For the next three days, cloudy skies with light rain are expected across the affected regency.
