Indonesia – Landslide (ADINet, BMKG, media) (ECHO Daily Flash of 26 January 2026)

  • On 24 January, a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall struck Pasirlangu Village in the Cisarua sub-district of West Bandung Regency, West Java province, causing casualties and damage.
  • According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), 17 people have died, 74 remain missing and are still being searched for, and three people were injured. Moreover, almost 700 people have been evacuated to two evacuation centres; 158 people have been affected overall, and 52 houses have been damaged.
  • National and local authorities are conducting rescue and emergency operations.
  • For the next three days, cloudy skies with light rain are expected across the impacted regency.
