Heavy rainfall has been affecting northern Indonesia since 29 January, triggering landslides that have resulted in casualties and damage.
As of 30 January, according to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), one person died, 45 people have been displaced, 115 people have been affected by a landslide that occured in Tarakan City in northern-eastern North Kalimantan province. In addition, two houses have been destroyed and 22 partially damaged.
On 30 and 31 January, more heavy rainfall is still forecast over north-eastern Indonesia.
