The delegation from PMI NHQ visited PMI Probolinggo District Crisis Center and also the Mount Bromo observation post, as well as direct dialogue with the people of Ngadisari Village.

On this occasion, PMI Chairman Jusuf Kalla expressed, "PMI is working to restore back the community spirit and empowerment, especially those affected by disaster. That is part of PMI task. "

Jusuf Kalla added, PMI is planning to help provide seed potatoes, cabbage, and scallions for the farmers whose lands were badly damaged affected by Bromo volcanic ash.

This activity is accompanied by aid distribution in the form of 1,296 hygiene kits, 1,295 blankets, 1,200 units of hoes and shovels, and 50 tents. This activity involves PMI Chairman Jusuf Kalla and some of 200 PMI volunteers from all branches in East Java.

PMI Probolinggo District Crisis Center reported, throughout December 2010 until mid-January 2011, PMI has distributed masks, hygiene operation, psychosocial services to 500 households in the Probolinggo District, distribution of clean water to 20 thousands of liters per day.

This visit ended Sunday afternoon and concludes with a pray for the safety of the residents in the Sukapura Sub District, Probolinggo District, East Java.*
