Highlights
• BNPB reported that as of December 4, the death toll had reached 836 in 50 affected districts/cities in the three provinces. A total of 518 people are missing. As of December 3, 2,664 people were reported injured.
• The number of IDPs has reached 881,035 people as of December 4. In North Sumatra, there are 40,355 IDPs; in Aceh, 817,856; and in West Sumatra, 22,824.
• On December 3, BNPB reported 59,372 damaged houses in Aceh and 5,271 in West Sumatra. Data on damaged houses from North Sumatra have not been obtained.
• The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) projects December as one of the peak periods of the rainy season in Indonesia. The peak weather impact is expected to occur between December 28, 2025 and January 10, 2026, with rainfall reaching 300–500 mm/month in some areas.
