HIGHLIGHTS

  • Hydro-meteorological disasters remain the most common natural disasters.
  • While there have been fewer incidents of flooding over the past few months, the humanitarian impact has been high with 16 people killed and more than 197,000 people affected.
  • More than 17,000 people have been evacuated after Mt Sinabung eruption activity intensified in November.
