Heavy rainfall continued to affect eastern Indonesia, in particular the Lesser Sunda Islands since 1 February, causing floods and flash floods that have resulted in casualties and damage.
The Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) reports, as of 5 February, one fatality in the Rhee district (Sumbawa regency, West Nusa Tenggara province) due to a flash flood event occurred on 4 February.
Over the next 96 hours, more heavy rainfall is still forecast over most of the Lesser Sunda Islands.
