  • Heavy rain has continues to affect western Java Island (particularly the Jakarta area and the nearby Karawang Regency, West Java Province), causing widespread floods and damage.
  • According to the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB), as of 26 February, more than 400 people have been displaced across the Jakarta area. In addition, BNPB reports 9,770 displaced people, 47,670 affected people, and more than 14,800 houses damaged throughout the Karawang Regency.
  • More heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds are forecast over Java Island over the next 24 hours.
