Heavy and intense rain caused floods and landslides in West Sulawesi Province. The floods in Pasangkayu Districts inundated 4 villages and 2 subdistricts with the water level reaching 100-200 centimeters. Landslides in Polewali Mandar District severely damaged at least one house, and caused 7 casualties.
916 households with 3,805 people were affected by the floods and had been displaced in several IDP centers. Trans-Sulawesi main road is under water and disrupts the community daily activities between the 2 districts.
Local government and Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) provided assistance to those affected. Immediate needs include operational cars, clean water, inflatable boats, basic food items, hygiene kits, family kits, tarpaulin, and clothes.
